Frequent communication between the builder, architect and client is essential. Detailed plans and specifications and a comprehensive computerized schedule provide for a seamless construction project that will be completed on time and within budget. If possible, we recommend weekly, on site, production meetings with our clients to enhance the flow of information, which will have the added benefit of expediting construction.

Many years of custom home building experience have resulted in the development of company wide systems that produce a consistent, high quality end product. Highly refined office and production systems efficiently handle the immediate exchange of information for specifications, construction schedules, material selections and client changes. In addition, excel spreadsheets track and inform clients of all financial allowances and expenditures on a monthly basis.

A safe work environment is provided for workman throughout the construction process and for our clients during site visits. A company wide safety meeting is held quarterly to review requirements and address any safety issues. All employees are responsible for monitoring jobsite safety on a daily basis.

While green building is currently a hot topic, Plumb has been constructing “Green Homes” for many years. Heavy insulation, air filtration seal up, premium windows and doors and high efficiency heating and cooling systems have always been a priority.  Consideration is also given to orientation of the home to the sun and depth of roof overhang for energy efficiency. Selective placement of garages and installation of underground tanks for rain water retention provide additional environmental advantages. Another factor to consider is the cost and time associated with maintenance. It is our intention to build your home as maintenance free and sustainable as possible. We think in terms of centuries, not generations, when considering the longevity of the homes we build.
